The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This individual will play a key role in budgeting, audits, and process improvements to support operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Support external audits and work closely with auditors.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform variance analysis.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to analyze cost accounting and inventory metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
