About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Project Developer to drive the identification, development, and execution of high-impact renewable energy projects. This role is designed for industry leaders who are eager to make a lasting impact on the energy transition through innovative development, strategic deal-making, and power marketing expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Development: Lead the identification, assessment, and execution of renewable energy projects, ensuring seamless progress from inception to completion. This includes site selection, landowner negotiations, regulatory filings, and permitting processes.
- Origination & Power Marketing: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships to secure power purchase agreements (PPAs) with utilities, corporations, and other off-takers.
- Business Development: Expand the company’s footprint in the renewable energy sector by identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Spearhead the evaluation and execution of asset acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships with utilities and independent power producers.
- Legal & Regulatory Expertise: Oversee project contracts and regulatory compliance, working closely with legal teams to mitigate risks and streamline transactions.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Extensive experience in renewable energy project development, power marketing, or energy-related M&A.
• A proven track record in B2B business development, with the ability to foster high-value partnerships.
• Strong expertise in securing site control, negotiating PPAs, and navigating regulatory landscapes.
• MBA, JD, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
