Position Title: Service Technician - Lawn Care

Location: Chattanooga

We are currently seeking a Service Tech to handle the field operations of our business, providing exceptional service to both residential and commercial customers.

Position Summary:

The Service Tech is directly responsible for the field operations of our diverse, fast-growing lawn and lawn care/lawn maintenance company. This person will be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of operations, which include: safety, training, efficiency, customer service, quality craftsmanship, logistics, and industry standards.

This role services residential or commercial customers by providing lawn applications, diagnosing, and correcting lawn conditions through in-person service calls, and by helping customers get their desired needs taken care of and making their lawn healthy and beautiful.

Responsibilities:

• Apply fertilizers and other products to lawns according to Lawnpride customer program, safety procedures, and label instructions. Cares for sod plants grass seeds as needed.
• Evaluates and diagnoses lawn problems. Resolves service issues accordingly.
• Efficiently manages schedule (by keeping “In-Branch” time to 30 minutes or less in the morning and 45 minutes or less in the afternoon, by working within route analysis specifications, by timely responses to customer instructions and requests for telephone and in-person service calls, etc.).
• Sells, cross-sells, or up-sells services or otherwise generates sales to current customers through contact on route.
• Performs a daily 5-minute, 360-degree inspection of truck and equipment before taking the vehicle out on the road and upon return. Maintains vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance.
• May measure the lawn of potential customers to provide them with an accurate cost of lawn care service.
• May operate heavy equipment in the aeration, seeding, fertilizing, etc. of lawns.
• Completes production reports, daily vehicle inspection report.

Requirements

· High school diploma/GED

· Must have TN/GA License Applicator License

· Clean driving record with no DUIs, DWIs or Reckless Driving tickets within the last 5 years

· Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions

· Strong technical knowledge

· Customer service oriented

· Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

· Basic knowledge of MS Office

· Previous experience in lawn care

· Basic Math Skills

· Willing to submit a background check

Compensation & Benefits:

· Total compensation of $40,000-45,000, DOE
