What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator position at Confidential?
The Shipping and Receiving coordinator will be responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received. This role requires the ability to package product safely in shipping containers or on pallets, develop mailing labels and shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly. The shipping and receiving coordinator will also verify incoming shipments by scanning barcodes to process information into computers accurately. This position may work in office, inside warehouse, or service shop.
Essential Functions
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Checking in and shipping UPS.
- Crating parts for shipping freight.
- Parts assembly as needed.
- Painting/ Cleaning as needed.
- Operate overhead cranes and Hi-Lo’s.
- Some truck driving.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement 18
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 6 months experience
- Computer skills
- CDL B or A is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Upbeat personality, eager to learn and expand knowledge
- Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all time
- Must be available to work occasional nights, holidays and weekends
