Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Space Planning Coordinator to support our team in designing and optimizing contracted business locations. This role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure spaces are efficiently planned, compliant, and aligned with operational needs. The ideal candidate has experience in site assessments, construction coordination, and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to evaluate space suitability for business operations.
- Document findings, including measurements, photographs, and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop site plans and specifications.
- Oversee project costing, ensuring alignment with budgetary and organizational standards.
- Troubleshoot challenges in construction and renovation processes to maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor construction progress and conduct site visits to ensure compliance with project scope and quality standards.
- Hold vendors accountable for quality standards, including post-installation audits and punch lists.
- Assist in sourcing contractors, bidding construction projects, and managing purchasing cycles.
- Work with internal design teams to evaluate and optimize project budgets.
- Support equipment installation teams on-site as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in digital surveying and drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Arcsite).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Smartsheets, Microsoft 360, and JIRA.
- 2 years of experience in construction project management, contracting, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
