Technical Sales Support Specialist
Location: St. Jacob, IL (100% Onsite with potential flexibility)
Salary: $65,000 - $68,000 (based on experience) Benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Travel: Yes (customer sites, trade shows, training events)
Schedule: Structured (start time options: 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM; fixed schedule once set)
Reports To: Technical Sales Support & Product Training Manager
About the Role
The Technical Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in assisting customers with product selection, installation, calibration, and troubleshooting. This role provides technical expertise to support sales teams, and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in the selection, installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of products.
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Travel to customer sites and trade shows to support sales teams and promote products.
- Conduct technical training and product presentations to customers and internal teams.
- Review technical documentation; read blueprints.
Qualifications
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology
- Considered: Associate’s degree in Electronics with relevant experience
Experience & Skills:
- At least one year of experience in technical sales support, or application engineering (manufacturing background preferred.)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in electrical products and power control systems.
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and attend industry events.
