Job Description: Used Car Manager/Director
Location: Panama City, FL/Fort Walton Beach, FL
Compensation: $150,000 per year (based on experience and performance)
About Us:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Used Car Manager/Director to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in managing our used car operations, ensuring profitability, inventory efficiency, and team performance.
Schedule:
- 5-days a week (off Sundays & one weekday), with periodic exceptions due to marketing events and/or scheduling conflicts
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals and desk managers.
- Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations for the sales team.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes.
Inventory Management:
- Utilize vAuto to analyze market data, manage inventory, and optimize pricing strategies.
- Develop strategies to maximize inventory turnover and profitability.
- Partner with the call center team to acquire high-quality inventory effectively.
- Monitor market trends to ensure competitive pricing and inventory acquisition.
Sales & Deal Desk Oversight:
- Oversee deal structuring, approvals, and compliance with dealership policies.
- Ensure deals are profitable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Work closely with the sales team to improve closing ratios and customer satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, and profitability.
- Make data-driven decisions to improve operations and meet dealership goals.
- Collaborate with dealership leadership to identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in used car management or a related role in an automotive dealership.
- Expertise in vAuto and other inventory management tools.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a sales team effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to acquire and manage inventory, including working with call centers for sourcing vehicles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on performance and profitability.
