Used Car Auto Technician

Gary Smith Honda in sunny Fort Walton Beach, FL is a family-owned and operated car dealership seeking an experienced, full-time Used Car Auto Technician to join our team! Job Duties and Responsibilities of Used Car Auto Technician:

• Responsible for reconditioning the dealership’s pre-owned vehicles, including performing light-duty technician and maintenance repairs
• Perform general maintenance and thorough vehicle inspections
• Communicate with service team on vehicle status
• Follow all established safety rules
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of Used Car Auto Technician:

• 2 years of experience as a used auto car technician preferred
• ASE Certification preferred
• Experience working in a high-volume dealership preferred
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Excellent team-player
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat and humidity
• High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule Requirements:

Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 5:30 PM plus occasional overtime and Saturdays

Used Car Auto Technician Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, reach above head, sit, stand, talk and hear. The employee must be able to see color and at close and far distances and is required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
