Position Summary: A strategic executive role responsible for leading the company's integrated transportation operations across ocean, air, and intermodal services. This position will drive operational excellence, develop carrier partnerships, and optimize multi-modal transportation networks while ensuring seamless connectivity between ocean, air, and ground operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Multi-Modal Strategy & Operations
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies across ocean, air, and intermodal transportation networks
- Optimize integration between transportation modes to create efficient end-to-end solutions
- Lead network design and capacity planning across all modes
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs for each transportation mode
- Drive cost optimization while maintaining service excellence
Ocean Freight Management
- Direct ocean freight operations, including FCL, LCL, and specialized cargo services
- Develop and maintain relationships with ocean carriers and NVOCCs
- Oversee port operations and terminal relationships
- Monitor market conditions and capacity trends to optimize routing decisions
Air Freight Operations
- Lead air freight strategy and operational execution
- Manage relationships with air carriers and ground handling agents
- Optimize air network design and capacity utilization
- Develop express and time-definite service offerings
Intermodal Integration
- Oversee rail and drayage operations
- Coordinate with rail providers and trucking partners
- Optimize container positioning and equipment utilization
- Develop innovative solutions for first/last mile delivery
Contract & Commercial Management
- Lead contract negotiations across all transportation modes
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for multi-modal services
- Manage carrier agreements and service level commitments

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 15 years of progressive experience in transportation management, with significant exposure to multiple modes
- Proven expertise in ocean freight operations and carrier management
- Strong understanding of air freight operations and intermodal transportation
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiations and relationship management
- Experience with network optimization and transportation economics
- Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in related field
- Global trade and customs expertise
- Experience with digital freight platforms and transportation management systems
- Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and specialized cargo handling
- Multi-language proficiency
- Industry certifications (IATA, FIATA, etc.)
Travel Requirements:
