Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and innovative Vice President of Culinary to lead and elevate the culinary operations within a prestigious and expanding hospitality portfolio. This highly confidential executive-level role will be responsible for overseeing all culinary strategies, operations, and the overall dining experience across multiple high-end hotels, resorts, and restaurants within the hospitality group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in luxury hospitality dining, a deep understanding of global culinary trends, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through innovative cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all culinary operations across the hospitality group’s properties, ensuring each culinary experience meets the highest standards of quality, service, and innovation.
  • Develop and implement seasonal and signature menus that align with the unique brand identity and luxury standards of the hospitality group, while incorporating global culinary trends and local flavors.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of executive chefs, culinary managers, and kitchen staff, creating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee food and beverage cost management, ensuring efficient and profitable kitchen operations while maintaining the highest quality ingredients.
  • Collaborate with other executive leadership teams to design and execute culinary strategies that align with business objectives, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive revenue.
  • Create and maintain dining experiences that appeal to a diverse and discerning clientele, including fine dining, casual dining, catering, and event services.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and operational best practices across all properties.
  • Drive innovation in the culinary experience by introducing new techniques, concepts, and presentations that surprise and delight guests.
  • Regularly assess guest feedback, industry trends, and competitor offerings to refine and adapt the culinary offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of top culinary talent, ensuring the team is highly skilled, motivated, and aligned with the company’s culture of hospitality excellence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role, particularly when dealing with high-profile guests, partners, and business strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the culinary industry, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end hospitality group.
  • Expertise in fine dining, innovative culinary techniques, and a strong understanding of hospitality-driven culinary experiences.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large and diverse culinary teams, optimizing kitchen operations, and driving operational excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of food cost management, inventory control, and labor efficiency within a high-volume, multi-property environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop culinary talent while fostering a culture of creativity and continuous learning.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to collaborate with senior management to create and execute strategies that contribute to the organization’s growth and profitability.
  • A keen understanding of current food trends, sustainability in sourcing, and a commitment to offering creative, health-conscious, and sustainable dining options.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent education/training from a renowned institution preferred.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, guests, and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion, especially in dealings with guests, confidential information, and business decisions.
