About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Payment and Fraud Risk Management to play a pivotal role in the strategic expansion of its global payment platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and operationalizing risk management frameworks across the company's diverse payment ecosystem. This includes establishing an advisory and consulting practice to proactively assess vulnerabilities, defining policies and KPIs for acceptable loss ratios, and optimizing risk operations. The role demands a leader who can minimize user friction for regulatory compliance, define requirements for risk tooling and monitoring, and establish protocols for rapid response to evolving risk events. The VP will also be instrumental in developing a risk management culture and will lead a cross-functional organization dedicated to the profitable growth of the payment network.
Applicants for the VP position should have a minimum of 12 years of work experience, with a strong preference for those holding an advanced degree. The role requires advanced knowledge and experience in risk management practices, particularly in the payments industry and financial services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building high-performing teams, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Key qualifications include the ability to identify, assess, manage, and report risks, as well as experience in driving a risk culture and working with product management to integrate risk assessment into the product lifecycle. The VP will be expected to ensure the alignment of risk management with the company's agile processes and to work closely with senior management to monitor and report on risk profiles.
