As an integral part of Confirm Biosciences, the role of Human Resources (HR) Specialist is responsible for overseeing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This role involves administering benefits, recruiting, and developing strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency. In addition to traditional administrative HR responsibilities, the HR Specialist will develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including organizing events, recognition programs, and team-building activities, to foster a positive and collaborative company culture.
Essential Functions

- Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new hires and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues and answer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including employment contracts, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews.
- Review and correct employee timecards to ensure accuracy for payroll processing.
- Collaborate with payroll personnel to resolve discrepancies and maintain timely payroll submission.
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in conflict resolution and mediate workplace disputes to maintain a positive work environment.
- Enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills and compliance awareness.
- Company perks coordination and budgeting for potlucks, weekly catered lunches, birthdays, and anniversaries; ordering, pick up, set up and clean up as necessary.
- Plan and fully execute companywide events for holidays, spirit events and volunteer events.
- Maintain the company calendar for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and events
- General office management including interacting with the office park association and oversight of vendors providing services such as security and cleaning.

Quality Training Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant Quality Management (QMS) procedures supporting QMS processes as required.
Qualifications:
The following requirements are necessary to perform the job successfully.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in human resources or a related role.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Management
Minimal or no supervisory responsibilities are expected of this position.
