Night Dispatcher (Training on Day Shift)

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a reliable and capable Night Dispatcher (11PM-7AM) who will train during the day shift to gain a strong understanding of our systems, routes, and customer needs. This person will take full ownership of the night shift and help keep our courier operations running smoothly and effectively after hours.

What You’ll Do:

• Train during day shift (for approx. 6-12 weeks) to learn the ropes
• Dispatch and manage deliveries during the night shift
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and vendors
• Make quick, smart decisions when unexpected issues come up
• Coordinate logistics with the mindset of “How can we make it happen?”, not “We can’t.”
• Use dispatch software and other computer systems accurately and efficiently
• Document any major incidents, delays, or service issues for team handoff

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong computer skills — can learn dispatch systems quickly
• Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities under pressure
• Clear and professional communication style (phone, text, email)
• A proactive mindset: focused on getting the job done, not saying no
• Dependability — shows up, steps up, and takes ownership
• Previous dispatching or logistics experience is a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Night shift
