The Role:
Congo Brands is seeking a highly skilled Supply Planner to join our team. As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for manufacturing production planning to maintain optimal supply levels that meet customer demands. You will be responsible for supply forecasting, analyzing market trends, and identifying potential risks and opportunities. Additionally, you will track production attainment, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with various departments such as procurement, demand planning, manufacturing, and customer operations to ensure effective cross-functional communication and alignment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to achieve success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are crucial for success in this role.
This role is on-site at our Louisville, KY headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion responsibility over the supply planning inventory replenishment model for assigned product categories in alignment to customer demand forecast updates and inventory stock thresholds
- Generate and submit purchase orders systematically and via direct communication with adjacent manufacturing execution teams and external manufacturing partners in accordance with supply requirements
- Partner with Demand Planning to build rolling 12-month forecasts; to assist with materials planning, procurement, and manufacturing capacity planning
- Maintain relationships and communication with manufacturing partners to accurately track production attainment and vendor KPI performance
- Establish and implement inventory planning and production scheduling parameters in accordance with the requirements specific to a category or customer product type
- Frequent communication with the Materials Planning team to ensure finished good supply schedules are supported for each campaign
- Maintain consistent collaboration with the Customer Supply Chain team to guarantee on time and in full order fulfillment
- Maintain and present slide decks to cross functional and leadership teams showcasing production scheduling and KPI data for assigned product categories
- Assist Senior Supply Planner(s) in identifying process gaps and driving continuous improvement across supply chain operations
- Other duties as required
Key Skills and Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
- Ability to work independently/self-starter
- Ability to travel as needed
- Strong MS Office/Excel capabilities
- Has a demonstrated passion that align with the core values of Congo Brands
- Previous responsibility in Planning, Scheduling, or Supply Chain is preferred
- Experience in one of the following industries is a plus: Food and Beverage, Wine and Spirits, Food Production, Nutraceuticals, Dairy
- Experience with NetSuite/ERP systems is a plus
