Job Description/Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for meeting OTIF targets for all Value Added Packaging(VAP) and Intercompany Transfer items while minimizing cost. Position supports Sazerac Growth through supporting New Business Development.
- Leads the planning processes for specialty packaging and intercompany transfers. Ensures product available to meet customer expectation. Manages the effort to optimize the movement of intercompany finished goods in order to minimize costs and maximize efficiency at our manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Provides rolling 12 month forecast to our contractors. Breaks down 12 month demand into shorter term production schedules. Manages work orders and transfer orders related to repack.
- Creates executable inventory transfer plans that balance inventory carrying cost with plant efficiencies. Responsible for accurate inventory transactions and preforming monthly inventory reconciliations of inventory at third part locations.
- Utilize PDS system to identify opportunities for self-improvement. Use PDS as a tool to drive improved performance. Measure progress and track results and achievements.
- Ensures specialty packaging and items transferred between plants are available to meet service targets.
- Generates and leads cost savings projects related to specialty packaging and Intercompany transfers. Coordinates with site stakeholders to identify the biggest opportunities and drive them to fruition.
- Develop a Career plan for myself that will allow me to achieve our overall career objectives. Continue to work on existing career development plans that have been previously set up.
- Lead Sazerac production planning functions related to repack and intercompany transfers to ensure that the appropriate amount of inventory is held to meet customer service goals while minimizing carrying costs and improving production efficiencies. Optimize 3rd party repack network to meet these goals.
- Ensure we have the right products in the right place at the right time to delight our customers.
- Supports NBD by scheduling repack and transfer activity to support launch targets.
- Continually seek ways to improve performance in supply planning as measured by Key Performance Indicators.
Qualifications/Requirements
MUST
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Detail Oriented
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- 2 years experience in Customer Service or Consumer Affairs.
- 1 year relevant experience (minimum)
PREFERRED
- Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
- 2 years Experience in manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)
- 1 year Supply Chain Experience
