Position Summary
The Housing Intake Support position works closely with the housing division staff who provide housing support services for community members, including housing counseling, financial coaching, public benefits counseling, utility assistance and VITA Tax Site services. This position is primarily responsible for greeting, screening, assisting with the completion of client intake forms, and gathering any necessary information to assess client needs in person and on the phone. Additionally, this position inputs and monitors all data and ensures clients are served appropriately. This Housing Intake Support has access to sensitive Congreso client information and is expected to handle such information with integrity and professionalism. This position requires strong speaking and writing skills in both English and Spanish.
This position reports to the Lead Housing Intake Support. This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site hours Monday through Thursday with the possibility of working remotely on Friday, as program needs allow.

Housing Intake and Communication
- Provides a high level of customer service to clients, staff, and external entities.
- Keeps the client screening and intake process organized for the Housing Counseling team.
- Completes client eligibility screenings for all services via email and/or phone calls.
- Handles incoming/outgoing phone calls and emails from clients who seek assistance with program services and greets walk-in clients at the front desk.
- Distributes, collects, and tracks completion of client intake packets.
- Processes financial assistance packages.
- Provides follow up calls for clients as needed.
- Responds effectively and proactively to program and organizational changes.
- Participates in special initiatives with the Housing Counseling team related to client services.
Data Entry and File Preparation
- Creates and maintains accurate client file folders according to funder requirements.
- Completes daily data entry of client enrollment, dismissal, demographics, and program outcomes in multiple data systems.
- Submits weekly enrollment reports to the Housing Counseling Manager.
- Anticipates, recognizes, and solves potential enrollment problems independently and consults the Housing Counseling Manager when needed.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Associate’s degree a plus; experience in lieu of education considered.
Minimum Experience:
2 years’ experience working in the housing or related field, required.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Salary : $38,720 - $43,000
