Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and gardening, along with experience in landscape maintenance and lawn care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective landscape maintenance plans to enhance the aesthetic appeal of gardens and outdoor spaces.
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control to ensure healthy grass growth.
- Cultivate plants by planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and harvesting as needed.
- Manage greenhouse operations by monitoring plant health, controlling environmental conditions, and maintaining equipment.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely for various horticultural tasks such as planting, trimming, and irrigation.
- Design irrigation systems to efficiently water plants while conserving resources.
- Conduct regular inspections of plants to identify diseases or pests and take appropriate action to mitigate issues.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan landscaping projects and execute them effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of horticultural practices including pesticide application. disease diagnostic and treatment and overall plant knowledge
- Current Pesticide applicator license
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all horticultural activities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
