What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Manager position at CONMED Corporation?
The Compliance Manager will work in CONMED’s Compliance Department to support the Vice President of Compliance and corporate compliance program. The Compliance Manager will have accountability and ownership over compliance investigations, compliance monitoring, compliance training, policy writing and enforcement, and ensuring the company maintains a highly effective compliance program. Responsible for also managing compliance oversight of select arrangements with healthcare professionals/entities. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee development and delivery of training, policies, and guidance that are in line with business goals and the Compliance strategy. Perform Compliance due diligence review of international third-party distributors and agents, including partnering with the Trade Compliance team to remediate any hits against watchlists, sanctions, and adverse media screens. Coordinate with business stakeholders to review proposed arrangements with healthcare professionals/entities globally and draft related agreements. Manage healthcare professional engagement platform consisting of consultant contract review as well as grant, donation, and sponsorship applications. Oversee the collection of the annual Business Needs Assessments, coordinating with Regional and Business Unit leaders. Perform data analysis on various metrics including Needs Assessments, modest meal limit audits, and healthcare practitioner transfer of value data. Develop programs to ensure organizational compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, simplicity, and speed of action and propose enhancements to the Compliance program informed by industry trends and best practices. Support the Compliance team in reporting on the status of compliance program on a regular basis. Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Provide additional support to the Vice President of Compliance and participate in broader projects, as needed. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. 5 years of professional compliance experience, with at least 2 years being specifically in a healthcare and/or medical device setting. 0-20% Travel Preferred Requirements: 5 years of medical device compliance experience preferred This position is not eligible for employer based sponsorship.
