Summary: The Logistics Director is responsible for overseeing the logistics operations, including materials ordering and forecasting, transportation, and inventory management. The role involves developing and maintaining efficient processes and procedures to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Create and maintain standardized logistics processes and procedures utilizing data to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Lead the materials procurement process, ensuring timely and accurate ordering of raw materials and supplies.
• Develop forecasting models to anticipate material needs based on production schedules.
• Work closely with suppliers to manage lead times and maintain adequate stock levels, preventing production disruptions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve logistics workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and process enhancements.
• Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
• Monitor inventory data and performance metrics to identify trends, improve accuracy, and reduce waste
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Provide training and support to team members on logistics processes, systems, and best practices.
• Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics, cost analysis, and process improvements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Strong understanding of logistics processes, materials ordering, inventory management, and forecasting techniques.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with logistics management software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to transportation and warehousing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
• Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and climate varies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
