Job Title: Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 1–2 days in-office)

Compensation: Up to $135K base 15% Bonus Sign-On Bonus

Overview:

A fast-growing, global financial services firm is seeking a CPA-certified Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager to join its high-performing corporate accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a public accounting foundation (Big 4 or Tier 2 preferred) who may have transitioned into industry and is ready to take the next step in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

This role starts as an individual contributor with shared support and significant growth potential. The right candidate is technically sharp, detail-oriented, and thrives in dynamic settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the monthly global close process
• Review and prepare advanced journal entries and reconciliations
• Oversee general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
• Interpret and apply US GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support audit processes and SOX compliance
• Assist in M&A activity, especially purchase accounting and opening balances
• Drive process improvements across financial operations

Qualifications:

• CPA required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of accounting experience, including public accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX)
• Familiarity with SEC reporting is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills required; Workday experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of Statement of Cash Flows
