Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and ensuring accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as EPIC .
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service.
- Register patients efficiently while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
- Assist patients in completing necessary forms and address any registration-related questions.
- Update and maintain patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with medical staff to manage patient flow.
- Provide high-quality customer service by addressing patient concerns professionally.
- Handle incoming calls related to patient registration, insurance, and scheduling.
- Work closely with billing and finance departments to resolve registration discrepancies.
