The Project Director is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of project management of 2-3 construction projects at a time, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement both long-term and short-term project plans that align with organizational goals and client needs.
- Team Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact, ensuring seamless coordination and communication among teams across various departments.
- Quality Control: Supervise the quality control process throughout the project’s lifecycle, ensuring all work meets the established standards and specifications.
- Contract and Financial Management: Oversee contracts for trades and manage the financial aspects of the project, ensuring all cost structures are maintained.
- Lead Meetings: Facilitate regular project meetings to discuss progress, delays, challenges, and other concerns, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a project manager or director with a proven record of successfully delivering projects.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining efficiency.
- Contract Management: Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts with clear scopes of work.
- Project Buyouts: Experience in managing the buyout process for construction projects, including procurement and cost management.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Procore for managing project documentation, scheduling, and financial tracking.
- Site Visits: Willingness and ability to make regular site visits to assess project progress and quality.
- Schedule Management: Expertise in creating, maintaining, and adjusting project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
