MISSION OF THIS POSITION
Connected Horse is recruiting for an Executive Director. The mission for this position is to ensure operational excellence, sustainable growth, and the delivery of high-quality equine-assisted programs that improve the lives of those impacted by dementia, along with their care partners. Your leadership will support fundraising efforts, community engagement, and strategic program expansion while collaborating with the Founders and Board to achieve long-term goals.

POSITION JOB FUNCTIONS
- Collaborative Leadership: Develop organizational goals and vision in collaboration with the Founders and Board. Lead and hold the team accountable for executing strategic plan.
- Fundraising and Development: Achieve annual donation goals through grants, events,
sponsorships, and donor relationships.
- Program Management & Expansion: Oversee the delivery and expansion of equine-assisted programs, ensuring timely, impactful, and budget-compliant implementation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strategic partnerships with community organizations,
academic institutions, and media outlets. Represent Connected Horse as a spokesperson
and advocate.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee delivery of high-quality equine-assisted programs, including Barn Program and Sensory Engagement Program. Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and ethical standards while managing budgets and reporting processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in nonprofit management or a
related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit or related settings.
- Proven expertise in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and program development.
- Knowledge of dementia care and/or equine-assisted programs is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
