Specific Tasks – CT Masters Games Sports Manager
- Develop and execute a plan for CT Masters’ Games athlete participation growth through research, community outreach and relationship building.
- Maintain website updates, marketing communications and social media platforms.
- Responsible for the creation and implementation of all CT Masters’ Games email marketing plans.
- Registration and data reporting.
- Post event reporting and analysis.
- Direct and supervise interns as needed.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of events.
Specific Tasks – Operations Assistant:
- Works with the Executive Director to develop the needs assessment for all events, e.g. Facilities, Gyms, Fields, Concessions, Tickets, Restrooms, Signage, Bleachers / Seating, Team Benches / Dugouts, Goals, Sport Supplies and any other equipment deemed necessary.
- Establish and execute procedures for the purchase, rental, storage, transportation, site set-up, site breakdown and distribution of equipment / supplies at permanent and temporary locations.
- Develop a schedule of deliveries, pick-ups and returns of rented or borrowed equipment.
- Creation and execution of a Needs Assessment for each facility and/or sport offering. The Needs Assessment Form will outline all supplies and equipment need for that specific location and/or sport offering.
- Work with Sport Coordinators / Site Directors to ensure needs assessment fulfilment.
- Establish a control system at facilities for equipment and supplies: e.g. inventory, management, storage, etc.
- Establish a Communications system for staff during the events; e.g. radios & cell phones.
- Work with Town & City Health Departments to acquire all necessary permits to run food tents / concessions at event locations.
- Develop and execute a plan for Concessions: e.g. locations, staff, food items, rentals – grills, menu, pricing, equipment and storage. Works with concession coordinator to implement.
- Develop and execute a plan for sponsor and directional signage at all venues.
- Develop and execute a plan for award areas (medal presentations) and equipment needs at all venues.
- Supervise assigned personnel and venue management, approve policy and make recommendations.
- Maintain volunteer schedules.
- Provide customer service and create a safe working environment for all athletes and employees.
- Perform any additional job related and reasonable tasks assigned.
- Set-up and break down of event sites.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word & Outlook
- Sports or Sports Management experience desired but not required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: Frequently lifts / loads / unloads / sets up / breaks down all types of materials, tents, tables, signage, equipment, boxes, totes etc. weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Ladder use
- Works in all outdoor weather conditions including, but not limited to heat and rain.
- Spends time in indoor facilities with varying temperature controls including, but not limited to: offices, warehouse space, pool natatoriums, ice rinks, athletic facilities, etc.
- Can spend a fair amount of event shifts stationary both sitting and standing.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
