Anticipated Start Date : May 2025 Position Summary : The Executive Assistant provides managerial, administrative, professional, and confidential assistance as required to support the President of CT State and the CT State Cabinet. The position is required to have extensive cooperative and collaborative relationships with staff, professionals, administrators, the public and with professionals in peer organizations and professional associations. Example of Job Duties : Under the direction of the Campus CEO, the Executive Assistant provides key managerial, administrative, professional, and confidential assistance, through these essential duties : College and Intra-collegiate Liaison Personnel Functions Budget Preparation Report Preparation Technical Assistance Office Management and Organization Supervision of Office Staff Communications Coordination of schedules, meetings, conferences, etc. Special Assignments and Projects This posting includes qualifications, experience and skills but is not limited to the full specifications stated in the job description. Minimum Qualifications : Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in administrative or executive secretarial fields. Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following : Operation of personal computers using standard word processing and related office software. Principles of secretarial practice with emphasis in quality production of correspondence and reports. Office administration including materials and records organization, scheduling and operating efficiency. Principles and methods of effective and cordial public contact and service. Proven history of strict confidentiality. Methods and techniques of operating in an office environment requiring organizational dignity. Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.). Preferred Qualifications : Three (3) or more years' experience serving as an administrative assistant or higher. Experience providing administrative support to a director level or higher administrator. Experience managing and preparing budgets. Professional work experience in higher education. Bilingual or multilingual. Starting Salary : Minimum Salary; $73,940 approximate annual plus excellent State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe benefits.
