Overview
Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an IT Systems Administrator in Fort Collins, CO. This is an onsite contract-to-hire position.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows & Linux servers
- Manage and configure network switches, routers, and firewalls
- Provide technical support for Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Monitor and respond to IT security threats, implementing MFA, endpoint protection, and DLP
- Ensure patch management for servers and software
- Assist users with hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Handle onboarding and offboarding procedures
- Maintain Active Directory in a multi-forest, hybrid environment
- Configure and manage GPO settings and Microsoft Intune for device security
- Oversee hardware and software lifecycle management
- Provide round-the-clock support for critical IT issues
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to resolve technical challenges

- Associate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Networking, or IT-related field
- 1-3 years of hands-on IT experience in system administration or IT support
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Novell networks and migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, Microsoft Intune, and endpoint management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- General scripting experience.
