One of our fantastic transportation services company clients in Trumbull, CT is seeking a contract-to-hire Network Administrator. This role is full-time, HYBRID, with 3 days a week in the office, 2 days remote. The contract-to-hire Network Administrator will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and maintaining networks and servers. Must have previous experience on a Network Administrator path.
Offering hourly rate as a contractor starts at $44 / hr.
If perm, annual salary starts at $85K with benefits.
Responsibilities :
- Management and support virtual environment using Nutanix and VMWare.
- Good understanding of VLANs, TCP / IP, and enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Install, configure and support, Anti-virus, DLP, and device encryption of user equipment.
- Maintain Microsoft Windows server infrastructure (proper patching and log review).
Qualifications :
Networking / Computer Skills
Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP / IP, Firewall / Spam Appliances, IPS / IDS, Network Security Best Practices, Cloud based solutions and network architecture. The ability to understand more advanced computer skills / technical concepts and be proficient in the advanced knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office Professional, Visio, VOIP Phones, WDS, VMWare, and Wireshark or equivalent. An understanding of HIPAA, the Security Rule, ITIL, and NIST standards are a plus. IT infrastructure project management experience a plus. Excellent communication skills. Occasional late night and weekend work required.
Incumbent functions independently within broad scope of established departmental policies and goals, generally refers specific problems to supervisor only where clarification of operating policies and procedures may be required.
Interpersonal Skills
Contacts involve the ability to influence actions of others where considerable perception is required to analyze individual circumstances and determine most appropriate course of action. Ability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience.
