Position Summary
The Network Administrator reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for providing technical support and computer upgrades as needed. Maintain servers, backups, PCs, printers, security cameras, and networks. Troubleshoot and evaluate system problems.
Key Duties / Essential Job Functions :
- Provide remote technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software-related issues, including peripheral devices and connectivity to local and wide area networks.
- Assume responsibility for active directory services administration, systems administration, patch management, group policy administration, and all aspects thereof.
- Collaborate with other departments in selecting and setting up applications appropriate to their activities.
- Administer Azure, Dropbox, and Antivirus.
- Maintain a log of IT-related activities and requests.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN / WAN and related systems.
- Troubleshoot and respond to personal computer (PC" s) problems promptly and efficiently, completing situations and resolving the issue.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain computers, monitors, printers, and related equipment.
- Assist with telephone system maintenance and administration.
- Compile Proficiency in cell phone, video conferencing, inter / intra-net, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Maintain security camera networks and work with vendors to install and repair cameras and NVRs using Milestone Software.
- Coordinate services and repair with Optimum, AT&T, Cumulus Communications, Lentner Technology, The Computer Company, and other Voice and Data vendors.
- Must have flexibility for occasional night and weekend maintenance or event coverage.
- Provide technical assistance in the design, installation, and support of information technology.
- Maintain appropriate expertise through training and seminars to ensure adequate user service levels.
- Ability to learn and help support current Housing Authority software.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Additional Responsibilities :
Education / Qualifications :
Associate degree in computers with five years of experience or equivalent business experience in Information Technology systems. (A , Net , MCP certifications a plus). Strong knowledge of network protocols and connectivity issues. Proficient in Word and Excel and the ability to work with Yardi / Visual Homes program, preferred. Proficient with integrated property management software programs is a plus.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy data processing equipment, including PCs, printers, and communications hardware of weights of 1 to 80 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information.
1st shift : Monday-Friday
8 : 30 am- 5 pm
37.5 hrs / week
