Payroll Clerk

Connections Personnel is hiring for temp-hire Receptionist /Payroll clerk for our client located in Somerset. Looking for a motivated individual to join a great company!

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct visitors while monitoring access and maintaining security by following established procedures.
• Answer all phone calls and direct them accordingly
• Process Payroll on weekly basis for the employees
• Ensure all the punches IN/OUT are accurate
• Keep track of sick and vacation hours for all of the employees
• Research any issues related to payroll
• Onboarding all the new hires and rehired employees
• Maintain employee files
• Organize and maintain files for physical and electronic documents up to date
• Keep track of all the employees who have joined the union. Keep the files up to date, and make sure deductions are taken out accordingly
• Keep track of the union billing on month-to-month basis
• Maintain records of new union members, laid off union members, and retired union members
• Track the Union and Non-Union insurance updates
• Reconcile union dues on month-to-month basis
• Maintain Workers Compensation report on a yearly basis
• Provide and maintain the yearend ACA report on of all the employees
• Process all incident and accident reports

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Associate’s degree preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Accurate data entry skills
• Good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with Genesis Pro Payroll a plus

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 2:30pm

Salary 50,000.00 to 52,000.00
