Your Role with The Company:
– Program the Haas machining center using SolidWorks CAM for parts across 2, 2.5, 3, and 4 axes.
– Create models and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD for various applications such as form dies, weld fixtures, drill fixtures, and brake press tooling.
– Examine prints and parts to establish an effective machining process that prioritizes the proper order and the most efficient machinery.
– Procure the necessary tooling and materials for job tasks, ensuring that items such as die repairs, punches, inserts, and buttons are readily available for builds and repairs.
– Ensure that tools are configured correctly to produce parts on schedule.
– Organize, prioritize, and allocate workflow within the tool room.
– Assist in operating machines and provide training as required.
– Supervise tool room staff as necessary.
– This role reports to the Production Manager and requires collaboration with various departments within the company, leading to acknowledgment of your achievements!
Background Profile:
– At least 5 years of experience in the building, repairing, and maintaining of metal stamping tools and dies.
– Strong background in machining and sheet metal work.
– Familiarity with GD&T is essential, with a solid understanding of control frames on technical drawings.
– Experience with Haas machining centers is preferred, as programming capabilities are required.
– Demonstrated experience in mentoring and leadership, with the ability to provide daily guidance and scheduling for the team.
