Activities Director

Job Summary
The Life Enrichment Manager plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in assisted living communities. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing engaging programs that promote social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation among residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and ensuring that each resident's unique needs are met through tailored activities and support.

Duties

• Design and implement life enrichment programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of residents.
• Coordinate events and activities that encourage participation from all residents, fostering a sense of community.
• Collaborate with staff to assess residents' needs related to activities of daily living
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and evaluate program effectiveness regularly.
• Train and supervise volunteers or staff involved in life enrichment activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all program areas.

Skills

• Strong background in senior care
• Experience in recreational therapy or event planning within an assisted living environment.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide compassionate care.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and team members.
• Understanding of aging issues counseling to support residents’ emotional well-being.
• Creative problem-solving skills to adapt programs based on resident feedback and needs.
