POSITION SUMMARY
The Core Systems Manager will oversee a team tasked with the planning, execution, and support of critical business platforms, including core processing and lending systems such as DNA, Loan Director, LFC, and Bakerhill. This role is responsible for managing system enhancements, configuration updates, performance optimization, issue resolution, and long-term improvement planning. The position requires strong coordination across departments such as operations, IT, lending, servicing, and project management to ensure strategic initiatives are supported.
In addition to managing a team, the Core Systems Manager will contribute directly to daily operations, bringing a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving to optimize performance and drive improvements across core platforms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of key systems initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead and support a team of 3 to 5 analysts, setting priorities, tracking progress, and fostering professional growth.
- Identify risks and implement response plans for system-related issues and outages.
- Deliver clear and consistent reporting on key activities, system health, and team deliverables.
- Independently coordinate software releases and upgrades, including impact analysis, testing coordination, and implementation planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors and internal leaders across business units.
- Maintain and update internal procedures and ensure compliance with relevant policies and controls.
- Research and evaluate new vendors, tools, and technologies to support system evolution.
- Support audit processes by ensuring timely completion of system documentation and access reviews.
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in computer science, programming, business or related field preferred or 5 years proven experience in lieu of a bachelor s degree.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
