Consolidated Business Services (CBS) has a full-time opening for an Accounts Payable/Bookkeeper working in Mt Angel, OR.

The Accounts Payable/Bookkeeper is responsible for timely and accurate accounts payable processing for multiple CBS partner companies. Providing bookkeeping support to accounting staff by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage and process large volume accounts payable for multiple companies.
· Apply consistent general ledger coding and descriptions.
· Review invoices for accuracy. Research and reconcile discrepancies with warehouse and/ or vendors.
· Maintain organized AP files.
· Enter, scan, and route invoices for proper approval, ensuring all documentation is attached for verification.
· Process weekly AP check runs and ensure bills are paid timely and accurately.
· Maintain monthly AP check list and utility tracking spreadsheets.
· Update AP vendor information in system and request/maintain W-9/1099 information.
· Prepare and electronically file all year-end 1099s and related documents for vendors and patronage recipients.
· Compile documentation for annual audits and provide requested information.
· Assist with daily mail run. Receive/route/distribute mail.
· Continually evaluate AP processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
· Support company culture initiatives.
· Perform other job duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job functions or as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ accounts payable, preferably with previous experience working with purchase orders and work orders. Must have at least one-year administrative support/bookkeeping experience and, or education and previous experience combined.
· Prior working knowledge of AP cycle using purchase orders and work orders.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, be detail oriented, complete work accurately and respond quickly to tight deadlines.
· Have a general understanding of basic accounting principles including debits and credits.
· Proven experience using Microsoft Excel.
· Highschool diploma or equivalent.
