Position Description
The position of Outside Sales Associate is a key role within our organization, responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base.
Job Summary
- Develop and execute territory development strategies to increase the inclusion of Consolidated Glass Corp. (CGC) glass products in projects through targeted territory sales development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and expand CGC's product portfolio into existing and emerging markets.
- Provide exceptional service and support to customer accounts through effective communication and coordination with the Inside Sales and Logistics team.
- Promote and grow business for CGC's multiple divisions, including tempered monolithic and laminated glass.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Consolidated Glass Corporation (CGC) with integrity in all customer interactions, building strong relationships that drive long-term growth and value.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of CGC products, technologies, and services to effectively support customers and promote solutions.
- Create customized account plans for key customers, aligning with their specific needs and goals.
- Work closely with senior leadership to monitor market trends, competition, and supply/demand to inform pricing decisions.
- Meet or exceed customer annual budget targets for glass revenues, value-added products, profitability, and services.
- Identify opportunities for introducing CGC to new customers and expanding relationships with existing ones.
- Actively solicit and pursue sales opportunities utilizing CGC technologies and services.
- Collect and analyze customer data to inform business development strategies.
- Prioritize and build strategic partnerships with contractors to drive growth and expansion.
- Maintain a solid understanding of industry standards, including ASTM and 16CFR1201 Cat II.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 5 years of sales management experience.
- Commercial glass/fenestration experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
