Job Overview
The ERP Data Specialist is focused on the set up and maintenance of ERP data ensuring it is clean and accurate. Primary responsibilities include developing, structuring, and maintaining all item information including bills of materials (BOMs), bills of operations (BOOs), routings and locations, ensuring this information reflects the material and processes on our manufacturing floor and in our warehouses. The ideal candidate is highly organized and can thrive in a busy environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Two to four years of experience creating, configuring and optimizing item data in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with bill of materials, operations bills, routings and engineering change software applications.
- Strong computer competence, especially with Excel pivot tables, V-lookups, and other data manipulation techniques.
- Experience creating detailed procedural documentation.
- Able to establish priorities based on available information, work processes, and policies.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail in data entry and physical observation.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.

- Self-Motivated.
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain all part master data, including BOMs, BOOs, routings, costs, and locations in the ERP system.
- Develop strategies and policies for effective part master data management within the ERP system (Epicor)
- Manage revision control in ERP system for parts.
- Perform root cause analysis to take prompt corrective action to resolve or escalate data issues.
- Collaborate with business units, data owners, and IT to gather requirements, resolve issues and optimize data processes.
- Audit and ensure part master data consistency across the system.
- Create and maintain detailed process and procedure documentation on all part master data functions and activities.
- Perform other tasks requested by management.
