What Your Day Will Look Like:

As a land develop engineer, you'll design residential and commercial sites, from concept planning to construction and completion of projects for water, sewer, drainage, paving, and site layout. You'll interact with clients, perform inspections, attend meetings, and develop cost estimates.  The land development engineer will report to the project manager.

What You'll Do:

• Coordinate design, manage the design group, and seal drawings and specifications for a variety of land development projects without supervision.• Perform quality assurance and quality control for the following:   Site grading and earthwork analyses   Water, wastewater, and storm drainage pipe networks and profiles   Dimensioned site layouts

   Profiles• Review record drawings and incorporate into plans.• Calculate and confirm slopes and inverts of storm sewer, water, and wastewater systems.• Work in conjunction with CAD designers and drafters on the preliminary design of site, grading,water & wastewater, and storm layouts.• Coordinate and confirm execution of redlines for modifications of plans and details in anefficient and timely manner.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology.• Professional Engineer (PE) license.• Minimum four years of land development engineering experience.• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D for design purposes.• Must have a valid TX driver's license with a good driving record.• Experience in coordinating with CAD drafting and design teams.• Deep understanding of the land development planning and entitlement processes.• Proficient with the modeling and design of pipe networks, street corridors, lot layouts, grading,drainage, and water quality.• While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
