What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Accountant position at Constant Contact?
We are looking for a Tax Accountant to join the Tax team within our Finance organization. In this role you will collaborate with internal and external teams to manage various functions including tax accounting, tax filings, payments, audits and notice responses. This is a hybrid position based out of our Waltham, MA
What you’ll do:
- As an integral member of the Finance and Tax team, the Tax Accountant will be responsible for various tax and accounting operations
- Work with third-party providers to file sales and use tax and VAT/GST returns
- Assist with filing personal property, excise, business, and other indirect tax returns in accordance with the tax calendar
- Help reconcile tax accounts, book journal entries and work on monthly close
- Coordinate timely estimated income tax and other payments in collaboration with Lead Tax Analyst and Accounting Team
- Help with information gathering for tax audits and response to tax notices
- Assist team members with international tax compliance and payments
- Support Legal and Human Resources teams with new business registrations and licenses
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years in corporate tax or accounting preferred
- Strong technology skills including Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with NetSuite/Oracle or other ERP system is preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing individually and as a team
- A proactive mindset with regard to driving process efficiency
