What are the responsibilities and job description for the Firefighter/EMR position at Constantine Fire Department?
Perform firefighter and emergency medical duties. Respond to fire and medical calls. On station duties that include cleaning and maintaining the building, equipment and apparatus when not out on an emergency response. Pre-planning of area business, schools and other structures. Fire prevention and business/facility preplan walkthrough duties as well as other community services.
Online and in person trainings are required while on shift. Annual MIOSHA and NFPA training requirements will also be required, which may require you to report on an off-duty day for a minimum of two hours.
A minimum of a Michigan EMR medical license is required, High school diploma or GED, required, NIMS IS100, IS200, IS700, IS800 are required, Michigan Firefighter Training Council Firefighter 2 is required, a current CPR card is required, a valid driver's license is required and able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Shift is for 9 hours and is from 8 am to 5 pm. Days will be M-F, no holidays. Average is 3-5 shifts per month, based on your availability.
