What are the responsibilities and job description for the Woodshop Teacher position at Constantine Public Schools?

Position Details

Qualifications :

State of Michigan endorsements in industrial technology education (TE or IX endorsements)
Successful experience teaching vocational education at the secondary level

Duties :

Minimum requirement of Bachelor degree in education with a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements (TE or IX)

Instructs individuals and groups in vocational setting

Plans curriculum, lessons, programs and teaching methods

Evaluates student progress based on papers submitted, test scores and observation and monitors students’ progress

Maintains physical environment of the classroom

Evaluates student progress based on work output and observation and determines goals, objectives and directions

Prepares report cards, educational records, IEPC forms, classroom observation records and other forms and maintains communication with parents

Collaborates with Administration and other support staff

Provides classroom support and lessons utilizing approved curriculum

Upholds all safety standards in the classroom and lab.

Performs other duties as assigned
