Job Description
The Retail Connections Associate Manager will provide best-in-class marketing support in the planning, development and timely implementation of off-premise and on-premise national retail programming for assigned brands in the Constellation Brands Beer Division portfolio. Working closely with cross-functional marketing teams, finance, sales and agency partners, the Associate Manager will support the creation of insight-driven, tailored campaigns and annual marketing plans that meet internal and external objectives while aligning with the brand strategy in the Constellation Brands Beer portfolio, including the industry-leading Casa Modelo family of brands. The ideal candidate will have both a marketing, sales, and consumer obsessed mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of a full calendar of short- and long-term national retail campaigns to maximize sales opportunities and consumer conversion for the Modelo brand family at retail.
- Support the creation and execution of annual national retail campaigns, both short- and long-term, to maximize sales opportunities and consumer conversion for the Modelo brand family at retail
- Contribute to the development and execution of programming, including creating and ordering point-of-sale materials, sweepstakes development, CRM development, legal and partner review, etc.
- Lead start-to-finish programming for select retail programs to ensure success of Modelo family during key selling occasions.
- Contribute to the management of agency partners to develop impactful programming that meets needs of consumers, satisfies the retailer’s business objectives, and contributes to building brand equity of Constellation’s beer portfolio.
- Manage campaign timelines, contribute to detailed and insights-driven agency briefs, and secure timely printing and shipping prior to in-market launch.
- Work with print production vendors to generate estimates, accurately manage production timelines and deliverables across thematic Point-of-Sale (POS) elements, merchandise, and display enhancers.
- Assist in the annual strategic planning process to help align internal Marketing teams, Consumer/Shopper insights, Sales, and agency efforts in the delivery of planning presentations and tools to the Constellation organization and wholesaler network for annual business planning and POS ordering processes.
- Help recommend and implement comprehensive retail promotional plans for new product introductions and line extensions of existing products, encompassing both package extensions and new product lines.
- Recap campaign performance to deliver actionable conclusions and optimize future programs.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision making. This includes strong cross functional partnerships with sales, category, insights, brand, e-commerce, media, sponsorship, field marketing teams, and other key stakeholders to strengthen integrated marketing campaign execution.
- Contribute heavily to the management of the team budget, including purchase order creation, invoice tracking and monthly budget forecasting for assigned brands.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in marketing, is required.
- Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in trade marketing, brand marketing/management, or agency capacities working with a CPG organization is required in order to understand the job function, marketing and sales needs. Experience in the beverage alcohol industry with an understanding of the three-tier distribution system is preferred.
- Strong financial acumen in budget management and processes.
- Must take the initiative to learn and acquire new skills and abilities and improve upon existing systems and processes in the spirit of continuous improvement.
- Must demonstrate creative thinking and suggesting new ideas to drive the business forward.
- Ability to thrive on a fast-paced, action-oriented team where priorities change, and time frames are critical.
- Must be agile and adaptable to change.
- Effective communication and presentation skills- written and oral.
- Organized, detail oriented and comfortable with tactical execution including proof reading and copy editing.
- Strong ability to foster working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Must work effectively in teams and support team decisions.
- Motivated self-starter with a sense of urgency, desire to continue learning, and multi-project management & accountability.
- Maturity and responsibility to work successfully within the beverage alcohol industry
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Agency experience is preferred. Must possess successful experience managing and working collaboratively with agencies to consistently achieve the company’s goals and objectives.
- Experience in marketing to the Hispanic/Multi-cultural consumer and trade is preferred. Fluency in business-level Spanish is a plus.
- Working knowledge of digital, mobile app and social media marketing tactics.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Expectation to be in Chicago office 2-3 days a week (as needed) to attend necessary meetings.

The salary range for this role is:
$78,800.00 - $118,200.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
