Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Business Analyst (BA) is crucial to the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams to effectively implement and support MES solutions. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to document business requirements (BRDs) for MES solutions, aiming to enhance manufacturing processes, boost productivity, and ensure data integrity and compliance.
The BA acts as the primary contact for the entire MES system, overseeing project delivery, ongoing maintenance, and operational support for the internal production site. Close collaboration with the Automation Support Team, Engineering, Operations, Packaging, and the site Leadership Team is essential.
Responsibilities:
Constellium Muscle Shoals is a major aluminum sheet supplier for the packaging and automotive markets. The plant has ~1,200 employees and more than 100 acres under room, including five casting units, hot and cold rolling mills, and a slitting and finishing center. Muscle Shoals produces aluminum sheet for use in all three components of beverage cans (body stock, coated end stock, tab stock) and can produce over 1 billion pounds per year of finished aluminum coils. The plant also produces aluminum automotive coils to be processed at our CALP line in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Muscle Shoals’ world-class recycling center can recycle the equivalent of 20 billion aluminum cans per year.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the internal MES transformation project, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Advocate for an "out of the box" MES solution with minimal customization to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and execute project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
- Gather and clarify business and change request requirements, working with stakeholders to refine and prioritize these requests to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Work closely with IT and automation teams for successful system integration between ERP and SCADA ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for MES solution.
- Standardize and leverage solutions across the site.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot MES-related issues.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure MES functionality and performance.
- Manage MES upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Conduct workshops to analyze user requirements and define functional requirements for MES solutions through client interviews and documentation analysis.
- Train end-users and stakeholders on MES functionalities and best practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or 5 years of experience leading and implementing large-scale MES projects
- A minimum of 2 years of experience leading MES implementations, including at least one complete end-to-end implementation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
- Proficiency in MES software such as Delmia Apriso, PASX, or similar applications.
- Experience with system integration involving ERP systems and SCADA.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in English, including writing, speaking, and comprehension.
- Knowledge of SAP, particularly in manufacturing modules (PP, MM, MDM, QM) (not required)
