What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reliability Lead position at Constellium?
Job Summary: Acquires and analyzes reliability data to prepare diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports. Defines reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements. Reviews cost limitations for equipment performance: repairs, replacements and availability of materials or equipment. Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with customers’ demands for reliable processes/equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead technicians (RCT) in a specific section of the facility
- Lead emergency groups within section
- Co-lead (with RCT engineer) the root cause analyses within section
- Review action register list (elimination of root causes) with technicians and reliability engineer in his/her RCT
- Set KPI targets for section, in agreement with RCT technicians
- Co-monitor (with RCT engineer) section KPIs as the sum of RCT technician KPIs
- Manage reports time in ADP
- Develop a skill development path and career path for each technician, the reliability engineer, and eventually, the scheduler (see sections below), in collaboration with human resources
- Coordinate daily activities with production, taking into account customers' input
- Communicate to SMEs need for support when issues exceed RCT domain
- Communicate reparation needs and priorities to Central Maintenance
- Communicate need for spares and other resources to supply chain
- Schedule outage and annual shutdown in collaboration with planning department
- Co-ensure (with RCT engineer) safety and housekeeping of section
Qualifications
- Typical Education: B.S. degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent
- Typical Experience: 3 to 10 years of experience. Preferably in an automotive tier 1 supplier environment.
- Strong analytical skills and technical abilities.
- Experience with various controls software (i.e. Siemens, Allen Bradley) and robotics with the ability to read prints (electrical, GD&T, etc.) preferred.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with employees. Has the ability to work under pressure on multiple issues/projects concurrently.
