As a Commercial Remodel General Contractor, our primary customer is the
elevator industry.
We provide all trades required to complete a new elevator or escalator install, except the elevator equipment and install. Job sites are both private and public sector buildings. Repeat business is critical to success.
You will be prospecting for new projects by driving sales, surveying job sites and proposing turn-key work. You will provide high-level project management for existing awarded elevator modernization general contractor WBO scopes. We are the leading national provider of this specialty contracting in the US, with over 30 years in this industry, and more than 70 years in business as a GC. We have many long-term employees who have been with us more than 10 years.

Qualifications :
10 years of continuous, documented Construction General Contracting Sales experience is required, with a preference for hands-on electrical training or experience. Fire alarm systems knowledge is valuable. All current employees have OSHA 10 training, at a minimum. Elevator Industry knowledge and contacts is useful for sales to local elevator salespersons, PM and superintendents.
Estimating experience with a mid-size electrical or mechanical "service division" highly valued. Demonstrable history of quantifiable sales results.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, team members, and CBI leadership is critical for this role. Knowledge of the downtown Seattle market and key players is a key to success.
Self-motivated to work independently and efficiently in a competitive, customer-focused environment, and able to travel overnight in the territory as needed. (Current territory covers Tacoma, Redmond, Bellingham, and Portland. Office / shop located in Fall City currently.)
Possess strong customer-oriented problem-solving skills.
Knowledgeable about local building trades codes and inspection enforcement.
Prior leadership experience is preferred as new regional personnel are hired.
Strong business acumen with practical business decision making skills
Required computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Teams, Outlook and customer contacts data management / reporting software (CRM) and ability to learn and implement new computer software as business needs change and evolve over time. Excellent grammar and business communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree or AA with acceptable experience and industry certifications.
Able to pass both our background checks and our clients’ background checks for badging and site access.
Physical requirements are to sit, stand, kneel or walk for extended periods, bend, squat, climb stairs and ladders, carry up to 50 lbs, work in open air, and on roofs and elevator pits.
Other job responsibilities will develop as may be required from time-to-time to accommodate and respond to changing business environments.
Can be based anywhere in greater Seattle area or the burbs.
