Consulting Engineering Firm looking for an experienced and organized administrative assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the day-to-day running of our office. The administrative assistant will assist in various administrative and accounting duties and contribute towards the company's growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks, Office, and Adobe.
- Perform clerical/administrative duties in an autonomous manner, such as answering telephones, filing, coordinating employee events, preparing shipping, and providing client assistance. Organization and attention to detail is a must.
- Responsible for several accounting functions including processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciling statements and insurance bills.
- Receive, organize, and distribute incoming mail and input entry of incoming bills.
- Provide support to Human Resources, Office Manager, the Owners, and individual CMEP departments.
- Coordinate with vendors for various services required by the office such as IT support, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Manage the front desk entrance by greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate personnel. Prepare conference rooms for scheduled meetings.
- Manage upkeep and ordering of office supplies, office equipment and common rooms.
Requirements:
- Proficient in applications such as Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Experience in QuickBooks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation due to occasional deliveries.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar administrative role preferred.
- Excel at multitasking in a constantly changing work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
