Position Overview: Business Development Representative
This is a fully remote position for a self-motivated and driven Business Development Representative passionate about helping small construction business owners thrive. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing leads to generate sales opportunities for our Systematize Your Construction Business programs.
You'll work with inbound leads while proactively generating your own opportunities through networking, referrals, and outreach. You will collaborate with our team to create measurable impact and help us deliver our mission.
Structure & Compensation
- Position: Fully remote 1099 independent contractor
- Base Salary: $6,000 per month (paid bi-monthly)
- On Target Earnings (OTE): $100,000 annually
Tiered Commission: Based on Monthly Sales Volume
- Tier 1: $25,001-$50,000: 5% of sales over $25,000
- Tier 2: $50,001-$75,000: 7% of sales over $25,000
- Tier 3: $75,001-$100,000: 8% of sales over $25,000
- Tier 4: $100,001 : 10% of sales over $25,000
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Qualification
- Identify, qualify, and engage prospective clients in the construction industry.
- Proactively source new leads and follow up with warm leads from podcasts, social media, and referrals.
- Sales Outreach & Communication
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and propose appropriate solutions.
- Develop strong relationships with potential clients, focusing on long-term partnerships.
- Pipeline Management
- Maintain and update CRM daily with accurate information about leads, calls, and appointments.
- Follow up with leads consistently (minimum 5 follow-ups within two weeks).
- Closing Deals
- Schedule and lead business evaluation calls to close sales.
- Work to meet or exceed the monthly sales target of $100,000 in closed sales.
- Continuous Improvement
- Attend weekly training sessions to improve skills and stay updated on industry trends.
- Provide feedback to improve sales processes and client offerings.
Requirements
- Sales Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the construction or related industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication skills with an "others-first" mindset.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a robust sales pipeline.
- Self-starter comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Resilient, proactive, and coachable, with a drive to continually improve.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Technical Requirements:
- Reliable laptop (Mac or PC) with high-speed internet.
- High-quality webcam, microphone, and professional setup for video calls.
