What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Purchasing Coordinator position at Construction Management?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing of construction materials and supplies, tracking orders and deliveries, and managing the inventory of job site materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with project managers to identify and purchase appropriate materials and supplies for each job site
- Manage relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of all material orders and deliveries
- Monitor inventory levels of job site materials and ensure timely replenishment
- Track project spending and provide regular reports to CEO and any project managers
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in construction purchasing or a related field
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Experience negotiating pricing and managing vendor relationships
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
