Home Renovation Estimator

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Home Renovation Estimator to join our team, reporting directly to the Constructive Renovations Leadership Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for home renovation projects while collaborating closely with homeowners to fully understand their needs and budget considerations. Your expertise will ensure accurate assessments and estimates, manage change orders, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain quality controls to guarantee client satisfaction.

Your key objective will be to meet or exceed defined sales targets by effectively selling our services and exploring upselling opportunities for products that enhance renovation projects. You will play a critical role in closing sales by securing signed contracts and deposits, ensuring that all client expectations are clearly understood and documented.

Core Functions And Responsibilities

• Secure home renovation projects through signed contracts and customer deposits, ensuring clear understanding and documentation of homeowner expectations.
• Identify and recommend additional services or products to enhance client renovation experiences.
• Engage with potential clients to discuss project requirements, review blueprints, and answer related questions.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure adherence to guidelines and a positive experience.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and propose mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with vendors to gather accurate and competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates that account for labor, materials, equipment, and vendor costs.
• Document all estimates, change orders, and communications for audit and reference purposes.
• Actively engage clients to address any concerns and provide detailed explanations of estimates to foster trust.
• Stay informed of regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Develop knowledge of organizational goals and strategies, embodying ethical standards and professionalism.
• Build enduring relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Adhere to company policies, successfully completing all necessary training and certifications.
  
  

Qualifications Required

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Certification as a Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar credentials preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction estimation.
• At least 2 years' experience in sales, negotiation, and consultation.
• A minimum of 2 years' customer service experience in face-to-face settings.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and labor costs.
• Adept at reading and understanding blueprints.
• Experience with construction software programs preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
