GIS Analyst – Utility-Scale Solar & Energy Storage

Position Overview
We’re hiring a GIS Analyst to play a key role in developing utility-scale solar and energy storage. This position will support the project development, land, environmental and engineering teams by providing geospatial insights, mapping expertise, and data-driven decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Conduct spatial analysis to support site selection, land acquisition, interconnection, and project development activities.
- Utilize GIS tools and techniques to analyze geographic data, identify suitable sites for solar installations, and assess environmental factors.
- Create high-quality maps and visualizations to communicate project-related information effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants to integrate GIS analysis into project planning and decision-making processes.
- Provide mapping support for solar and battery storage project development activities
- Develop and improve system workflows, and automate tasks to best support the development team
- Participate in weekly team meetings to provide technical support on projects
Requirements
- 2 year of GIS experience, preferably renewables, energy or environmental.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or similar field
- Ability to be creative and problem-solve unique problems from a technological and spatial perspective.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Salary : $80,000 - $105,000
