What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions?
Torrance Area, CA
6 month contract to hire $30- $34 an hour
Immediate hire will be responsible for all for project, job assignments and all customer invoicing. Conducts job cost and margin analysis and reports as it pertains to billing. Ensure all pertinent and required information is complete for job number assignment; run credit status (D&B reports), new client application forms, deposits, PO and signatures. Manages job number assignments. Prepares invoicing packages. Tracks contract documents, change orders, completion, costs, margins, parts analysis to ensure complete and accurate billing of various contract types. Includes all back up documentation. Tracks all open jobs for the ability to progress invoice at the appropriate milestones. Provides reports, PO and billing tracking, including follow-up on receivables if needed. Prepares and maintains tracking of split billing. Generates, maintains and tracks invoices through the client's payment approval process. Create Contract Value True ups as needed. Handles analysis and computation of job, project margin and profitability. Communicates and interacts with sales, estimation, customers, operations, PMO, and field employees to ensure billing information is accurate and complete. Attends project kick off meetings, or client facing meetings to represent the invoicing process as required. Resolves any issues with invoicing disputes.
Requirements:
- MS Office experience. Strong math and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Thoroughness and attention to details. Ability to successfully communicate issues and work toward resolution with various parties.
- 2-3 years experience with Construction or General Contractor billing and invoicing.
- 2-3 years experience with Schedule of Values (SOVs) and Release Waivers
- Strong MS Excel abilities and skills.
- 2 years billing and invoicing experience, preferably in the same or similar industry.
- Experience with FileMaker Pro.
- BA / BS Degree
