Fleet Responsibilities:

• Serve as a resource to management and act as a liaison with: External regulatory agencies, Fleet vendors, Fleet maintenance vendors, Fleet-related organizations
• Manage fleet compliance, including: DOT regulations, ANSI standards, licensing, registration, inspections
• Oversee vehicle inspections and registrations
• Handle vehicle violations
• Maintain and update vehicle and equipment inventory
• Manage vehicle GPS software
• Respond to truck-down situations
• Utilize and monitor the telematics system for vehicle performance and repairs
• Plan, facilitate, and direct fleet maintenance and repairs using area resources and vendors
• Manage the transportation of vehicles to and from shops
• Establish vendor relationships for: Repairs, parts. maintenance, and shop supplies
• Maintain and utilize the fleet data program for: Work orders, and critical asset data
• Maintain inventory of vehicles, equipment, and tooling

• Manage all safety and safety training initiatives, including creating, developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, manuals, protocols, SOPs, training programs, incident reporting, and compliance efforts company-wide.
• Manage the field safety audit program at job sites nationwide by conducting safety audits and administering the program to evaluate the effectiveness of safety processes, identify existing or potential risks, and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
• Oversee DOT compliance regarding field employees' driver's licenses and medical certifications, including CDL and MVR record review and tracking, and DOT medical card recertifications.
• Track and report on safety statistics, including analysis, trends, and lessons learned.
• Oversee the workers' compensation and return-to-work programs; partner regularly with the Human Resources Department.
• Responsible for quality control and safety audits, ensuring compliance with company and OSHA regulations and directives.
• Conduct accident investigations, review incident and near-miss reports, provide root cause analysis after each incident, and collaborate with OSHA following any reportable incident.
• Serve as a resource to management and act as a liaison with external regulatory agencies, safety suppliers, and other safety-related organizations.

• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, i.e., Safety Manager or comparable role in underground construction, utilities and/or pipeline industry
• Minimum of 2 years of fleet management experience
• Bachelor's degree in related-field, preferred but not required
• Preferred certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP), OSHA 30 certification, HAZWOPER certification, Confined Space, CAFM
